Firstly, I really like your simplistic style. You use it very well without losing the emotional context of the characters. In this particular picture you capture Luna's curiosity and surprise perfectly for comedic effect. The only criticisms I can make are technical. The characters, while on the moon should still cast a shadow. That would help ground them and give them a sense of mass without having to use shading on the figures themselves. Also, a little more detail on the moon itself would give a better idea to the viewer that it is the moon. (You and I know it's the moon, but a laypony may think it's just lumpy cement. The moon doesn't have gently sloping hills either, so that might confuse people.) The background is the blackness of outer space and that's fine for the scene, but it causes a tangent with Luna's collar and the outlines causing them to bleed into each other. To fix this you could switch to a color or white outline where the black space touches. A few stars may also help the background look less like dead space and more like a moonscape. I hope that helps! Your characters look great! Keep it up!
